A sprinkler protection is a fixed automatic water extinguisher system. The installation is a hydraulic assembly made up of a control station and a network of steel pipes, maintained under permanent water (or air) pressure.
The pipes are fitted with sprinkler heads, housed in the ceilings of protected buildings and arranged so as to open as quickly as possible under the action of heat. The principle of the system consists in pouring a quantity of water adapted to the disaster on an area of a predetermined surface.
